The main goal of any business is to attract customers. A colorful sign over the entrance is a great way to tell the bypassers about the store or agency. You can order a signboard in a design studio, but we recommend choosing a modern solution and buying outdoor digital signage displays. You’ll learn the main differences between various shows types from this article.

Type of Glass

Regular glass is too fragile to withstand all the environmental effects, so select the displays made from special tempered glass. This material is much stronger and can handle the harsh conditions of the street. Temperature fluctuations, wind, snow, hail, ice, and solar radiation are the main risk factors.

Protection from Water and Dust

The word “outdoor” in the name suggests that the display will frequently be subjected to moisture and dust during usage. They should say outside without n access to the sensitive components. Even of the best quality, the indoor display doesn’t ensure proper protection from the street conditions. Check the IP rating representing this feature. It’s a two-digit number where the first part protects solid particles and the second means waterproofness. Don’t buy a display with a rating lower than 65 if you plan to use it in street conditions.

Technology Used

On the market, you can find three technologies used in displays manufacturing. LCD displays guarantee the best quality of color rendering; they are visible in direct sunlight and provide high resolution. A better picture quality comes with a downside of lower safety. If you choose this type, be ready to take additional measures to protect a display from the environment. LED displays can boast a longer service life, decent protection from water, and juicy bright colors, but it’s a more expensive option. The third option is a projection. In this case, you place the equipment in any convenient position and project the picture to the surface. It’s the cheapest variant, but placing the equipment may be difficult.

Form

Depending on the construction, you can hang a display on the wall or put it directly on the ground in front of the entrance. The first option is safer and requires less space, but the cost of special fixing and installation can be high. The second way demands a convenient area where your display will be easily visible. It can be a real challenge in big cities where every square meter is used.

Level of Interactivity

You can opt for a traditional display with a still picture, find a variant supporting a slide show, or purchase the advanced interactive display. It’s an interesting idea for a restaurant or a cafe; the possibility to check the menu without entering is appealing to the clients. People like to play, and the manipulations with a bright display greatly raise their interest in your business.

Modern technologies can positively affect your company’s image and make it stand out from a range of competitors. Keep that in mind while choosing a display. It is worth the investment and will pay off soon with a higher flow of clients.
